Apurva Chamaria
I met Apurva through one of the conferences I curated a few moons back. Having him as a speaker, with his extensive knowledge of the digital media, was an asset through the conference. Through the many subsequent events, it was always a pleasure to have him on board as a speaker or jury member despite his very active global calendar.
It was a pleasant, rainy morning through the shoot of the interview, perfect for a cup of coffee and conversations. We unearthed some very inspiring gems for the aspirational entrepreneur through the learnings of his experience of a lifetime. Apurva was quite candid sharing his ‘Marwari’ lineage that essentially are a smart financial trader community. And the fact that his inspiration came from the humble beginnings of his grand father were equally inspiring for us.
Each interview is a personal lesson as we experience the pangs of birthing a startup ourself. Apurva says ‘Entrepreneurship is like jumping off a plane and building a parachute on the way down’ Oh Boy! you can say that again! Its an outrageous idea to take on the big, wide and deep pocketed world of media all alone but I get by with a little help of my friends.
