Interview Final Part
Swati Bhargava
From a small town girl cocooned from the ‘dilli ki hawa’ and dreams that took her only as far as St. Stephens college to actually studying with scholarship in the London School of Economics. And then Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley’s of the world happened, still unknown what the brands represented except for big bucks. Investment banking wreaked the air as an obvious way forward to LSE Graduates and so she followed suit. With the subsequent grind working the ‘arsce’ off as the brits would prefer 😉 The myth of the work life balance busted with the 16 hour daily schedules. The bug of being an entrepreneur rubbed off soon after from her then friend and now husband and Co Founder Rohan Bhargava.
Co Founder of India’s largest cashback website, Swati Bhargava wonders why women are perceived on the basis of their gender and not just as entrepreneurs. She also wonders aloud if our own families inadvertently reinforce the choice of a career in technology only for men and women steer away themselves?
Its been an interesting journey from Ambala to London and back for Swati and I am glad she shared it with me in all her candid demeanor. A staunch believer in manifesting your own visions, Swati hopes to Join the 5am club to pack in more through her day including Yoga.
Success to her is a well balanced life. What good would it be to be on the cover of a magazine and not be able to share it with your family & friends? Swati asks and I implore you too – Zara Sochiye #LikeaBoss
