Interview Final Part

Suruchi Wagh

Small town beginnings in Aurangabad to frat parties in the the school of brats in Los Angeles. Suruchi Wagh came back the full circle putting the fat dollar check on the table to found a company that caters to and innovates, in the hugely neglected field of Human Resources. Funding came by twice over and the business model evolved over the seven year journey. But the most important thing to come by was the realisation of having paying customers propelling their vision, as opposed to investors, who may have their own agendas.

Suruchi Wagh is the Co Founder of India’s largest talent transformation platform Jombay, with offices in 4 countries and 500 clients already in the kitty.

The company is now experimenting with more products including recognising the best places to work as well as acknowledging the best talent at work through awards and summits.

The personal crisis of losing a family member through a bizarre incident of hate crime, early in her startup journey, grounded Suruchi. She prioritizes life and relationships biding through the challenges the entrepreneurial journey unexpectedly keeps throwing.

Her soft spoken demeanor may throw you off guard but she is a strong woman who believes in standing for herself. Her favourite quote ‘Behind every successful woman there is an army of Nannies’

Its was indeed a pleasure meeting her and knowing her to be the woman she is.
