Shelley is a former BBC journalist covering Afghanistan, Pakistan, North America and Iraq. She has worked with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and UNICEF and was most recently heading communications for WFP in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh; now the largest refugee camp in the world and home to a million Rohingya refugees. Shelley is leading Facebook policy programs; across Economic growth, online safety for women and children, countering violent extremism, hate speech, privacy. emerging tech, data for good programs, crisis and disaster response and Facebook CSR initiatives in India.
