Sachin Bhatia
Sachin Bhatia’s interview was the first that we canned hiring a proper camera and light set up. As you will see the audio video quality is far better than Aditya or Delna’s interviews, those were captured through iphones.
Sachin is someone who I met first, through my stint at Radio City. He was then the co founder of Make My Trip. We recorded a fun show for an emerging brand then when makemytrip was beginning to make waves. All through the years we never really could manage to fix for another engagement, until the Simply Suparnaa series popped in my mind. I bounced off the idea and he was immediately game for it.
By now he has successfully exited MMT and is the Cofounder of a new venture, Truly Madly. I visited him in his Lado sarai office. We recorded a small video byte on the phone, this was used as part of the very first promo, when the series was just an idea. We later fixed to record the interview at his house in Gurgaon.
Both Sachin and I are parents of teenage daughters and through the interview I could empathize with his concerns of raising kids in a society afflicted with an inherent patriarchal mindset.
The interwoven value system in Truly Madly, of providing women a comfortable, secure and verified platform to explore dating options seems like a great bet especially in the times of Tinder.
