Rajiv Sharma

Rajiv Sharma, Founder and Managing Director of Empower Pragati, heads the organisation from the front by providing strategic vision and leadership. Rajiv operates with the principle of making business more accountable, transparent and sustainable while making transformational impact in the lives of the people on the ‘base of pyramid’ of the Indian society. He is a law graduate from Delhi University and did his MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He has held senior management positions for over 25 years at Kodak, HCL and was also the CEO of Airtel Enterprise Services before he quit the corporate world to join the social sector. Sensing an acute lack of enough skilled people in the Indian job market, he started Empower Pragati to contribute to bridging this skill gap and led it to become one of the most admired and innovative skill training companies in India. Spending over a decade in the skill sector, he has acquired acumen for understanding policy and implementation of development schemes running in the country. Rajiv is also the Co-Founder and the President of Alliance of Skill Training Partners (ASTP), a forum for all relevant stakeholders to collaborate to deepen impact of skill industry on the society and our economy.
