Mr. B Rajagopal (Raj) is the President for DSM in India and is based at Gurgaon. He is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Delhi and a MBA from IIM Calcutta. He started his career with the ICI Group of Companies in India where he spent over 25 years and led various businesses such as Specialty Chemicals, Advanced Materials and Paints.
He was a Member of the Board of ICI India Limited and was later appointed CEO for ICI Paints across all South East Asian countries based in Singapore. He returned to India in 2009 and was appointed MD of SI Group India Limited – the Indian affiliate of the American MNC which had acquired Herdillia Chemicals Ltd and a few other chemical companies here.
Raj recently joined Royal DSM, a 100+ years old Dutch MNC and a world leader in Nutrition and Materials. After spending a year in the Netherlands working with the Managing Board on various assignments, he has assumed his current role as the Country Head for DSM India effective Dec 2014.
